Summary: The AWS Solution Architect role involves architecting, designing, and delivering significant AWS public cloud projects, with a focus on PaaS and SaaS services. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to implement complex enterprise-scale solutions and provide technical guidance. This is a remote contract position with monthly travel to London for an initial duration of four months. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecting, designing and delivering significant AWS public cloud projects, including PaaS and SaaS services.
- Supporting implementation and transformation programs for complex enterprise-scale solutions.
- Collaborating with Architects, Subject Matter Experts, and Solution Designers on IT solutions.
- Acting as Subject Matter Expert to resolve complex client issues and provide technical knowledge.
- Providing expertise and leadership for infrastructure and application solutions in AWS.
- Identifying and recommending best cloud architecture options and tools.
- Designing technical reference models and roadmaps for AWS cloud implementations.
- Providing high-level design for AWS architecture and best practices.
- Guiding security best practices and compliance standards in AWS environments.
- Understanding AWS well-architected framework and IAM governance services.
- Utilizing IaC tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Designing services using container services (K8S, EKS, Fargate).
- Implementing automation techniques using EventBridge, System Manager, and Lambda.
- Understanding enterprise integration patterns and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of AWS cost management tools and optimization strategies.
- Holding AWS Solution Architect-Professional certification.
Key Skills:
- AWS Solution Architect-Professional certification.
- Strong understanding of AWS well-architected framework.
- Experience in architecting public/hybrid cloud solutions with AWS.
- Very strong understanding of AWS IAM and governance services.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Experience designing services using container services (K8S, EKS, Fargate).
- Good understanding of cloud observability using CloudWatch, EventBridge, and X-Ray.
- Experience in automation techniques using EventBridge, System Manager, and Lambda.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Ansible and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of AWS cost management tools and optimization strategies.
