Summary: The AWS Platform Engineer role requires an individual with SC Clearance to work on project tasks involving DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, and Deployment. The position is remote with occasional travel to client sites and is initially a 3-month contract with potential extensions. Candidates must demonstrate experience in automating operations and managing production software delivery pipelines using AWS and CI/CD tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate operations tasks using scripting languages.
  • Create and maintain production software delivery pipelines with CI/CD tools.
  • Work with AWS services including Lambda, Glue, MWAA, Athena, IAM, KMS, and S3 Access Points.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security principles.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and timescales.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with scripting languages for automation.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools, specifically GitLab Pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles.
  • Current and active SC Clearance.

Salary (Rate): £500/day

Role: AWS Platform Engineer (SC Cleared)

Day rate: £450pd-£500pd (Inside IR35)

Contract: 3 months initially with chances of extensions

We are currently recruiting for AWS Platform Engineers who have good experience with DevOps, Infrastructure Automation & Deployment. You will be working as part of a team on project work and ensuring that deadlines and timescales of the project are met. Due to the sensitivity of the role, any successful candidate must have active SC Clearance.

Skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrable experience in automating operations tasks with one or more scripting languages
  • Experience creating and/or maintaining production software delivery pipelines using common CI/CD tools ( GitLab Pipelines)
  • Experience working with AWS, Lambda, Glue, MWAA, Athena, IAM, KMS, S3 Access Points
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • A good understanding of Cloud security principles (e.g. IAM, KMS, AzureAD, Security Groups)
  • Current and active SC Clearance
