- Strong hands-on AWS networking experience
- Transit Gateway design and implementation
- Experience operating in a multi-account AWS environment (client has ~40 50 AWS accounts)
- Comfortable in an operational role this isn't purely greenfield design, ongoing support/maintenance is a core part of the job
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Cloudflare (client uses Cloudflare for WAF)
- F5 (load balancing / app delivery)
- Megaport Direct Connect experience
- Azure networking exposure (multi-cloud plus)
Role Summary
Client needs a network architect to support their cloud migration initiative, focusing on designing and operating secure, scalable AWS network infrastructure across a large multi-account environment.
Given the account count (40 50), strong organizational/governance instincts around VPC design, routing, and Transit Gateway hub-and-spoke architecture will be important.
This is weighted toward operations/support rather than one-time architecture design, so look for candidates comfortable with day-2 network operations, not just design work.
