Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a strong focus on AWS security operations and cloud infrastructure management. This role will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimising AWS-native security services while ensuring the ongoing security, availability, integrity, and resilience of a large-scale AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage AWS-native security monitoring, reporting, and alerting platforms.
- Triage, investigate, prioritise, and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Configure, manage, implement, monitor, and optimise AWS cloud services.
- Ensure the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and recoverability of AWS-hosted services.
- Support cloud infrastructure design, architecture, and security improvements.
- Champion DevOps culture, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and cloud-native best practices.
- Deliver secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Support incident, problem, change, and configuration management activities.
- Produce and maintain technical and operational documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to improve operational efficiency through automation and modern cloud technologies.

- Amazon GuardDuty
- AWS Security Hub
- AWS Config
- Amazon Inspector
- AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- AWS Trusted Advisor
Technical Requirements: Strong experience with several of the following:
- Terraform
- Kubernetes
- Docker/Podman/Buildah
- Ansible
- Git
- CI/CD Pipelines
- Grafana & Prometheus
- Python, Bash, or PowerShell Scripting
- Infrastructure as Code
- Identity & Access Management
- Monitoring, Logging & Alerting
- High Availability, Disaster Recovery & Backup Solutions
- AWS networking, compute, and storage services
Desirable
- AWS Associate and/or Professional Certifications
- AWS Security-related certifications
- CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch
- Experience with ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, and Route 53
- Azure or Google Cloud exposure
- ITIL or other relevant infrastructure certifications
