AWS Glue ETL Developer

Summary: The role of Sr. AWS Glue ETL Developer focuses on supporting a mainframe systems modernization initiative for a federal client by re-engineering legacy batch jobs into cloud-native ETL processes using AWS Glue and PySpark. The position requires collaboration across teams to ensure smooth delivery within a DevOps framework. Strong expertise in AWS Glue, PySpark, and ETL processes is essential, along with experience in serverless services and PostgreSQL. A background in mainframe modernization is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Re-engineer legacy batch jobs into cloud-native ETL processes using AWS Glue & PySpark.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth delivery within a DevOps framework.
• Utilize AWS Glue, PySpark/Python, and ETL expertise in project execution.
• Work with PostgreSQL and serverless services (Lambda, Step Functions, APIs).
• Hands-on experience with CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CloudFormation, and Jira.
• Support mainframe modernization initiatives, leveraging knowledge of JCL, COBOL, and DB2.

Key Skills:

• Strong expertise in AWS Glue and PySpark/Python.
