Summary: The AWS Engineer role involves collaborating with corporate technology and product engineering teams to build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS. Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to implement technical solutions, mechanisms, and procedures that help the business operate efficiently.
- Provision, configure and maintain AWS data services and infrastructure, using infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, et al).
- Take initiative to identify and seize opportunities to eliminate waste, redundancy, and complexity.
- Manage a queue of work requests to meet service level objectives and KPIs.
- Execute incident, problem and change management processes and reporting as needed.
Key Skills:
- Experience managing common AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFormation etc.)
- Scripting abilities with languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with GitHub or DataDog.
- Previously worked with an on-shore/off-shore model.
- High level competency with containerization and deploying services to Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
- Experience in basic administration of MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, MongoDB and/or ElasticSearch.
- Knowledgeable about configuration management frameworks such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
- Experience operating infrastructure deployments with Terraform.

As an AWS Engineer you will work closely with the corporate technology team to build, manage, automate, and support their cloud infrastructure in AWS.
