Summary: The AWS Engineer role is a contract position focused on designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure for high-traffic applications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy for automated deployments.
  • Monitor system performance using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to AWS services, networking, and security configurations.
  • Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices for team knowledge sharing and compliance.

Key Skills:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting for automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes on AWS.
