Summary: The AWS DevOps Engineer role is a remote position based in the UK, requiring SC clearance or eligibility. The position focuses on utilizing various AWS services and tools, alongside scripting and CI/CD practices, to enhance cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. Candidates must possess strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with vulnerability management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize AWS services such as Route53, S3, EC2, ECS, ECR, VPC, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Cloudfront.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and GitHub Actions.
  • Perform scripting tasks using Shell, Python, or Groovy.
  • Manage build tools like Maven and NPM.
  • Administer GitHub and troubleshoot issues related to AWS services.
  • Engage in vulnerability management and monitoring using tools like CloudWatch and Data Dog.
  • Work with infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Handle Linux system administration tasks on RHEL.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization and management.
  • Implement advanced security practices in GitHub.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in AWS services and tools.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git, and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, or Groovy.
  • Knowledge of build tools like Maven and NPM.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Linux system administration skills (RHEL).
  • Containerization experience with Docker.
  • Understanding of monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Data Dog).
  • Knowledge of advanced security practices in GitHub.
