Summary: The AWS Customer Success Officer will collaborate with application development and platform engineering teams to design, deploy, and operate scalable AWS applications. This role emphasizes automation, reliability, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of AWS services and best practices. The position is fully remote and requires significant experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with application development teams to understand application needs, deployment patterns, and operational requirements
- Support customers and development teams in deploying and operating applications on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies.
- Provide guidance on AWS best practices for scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities impacting customer experience and application operations
- Coordinate with platform, security, and operations teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
- Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Provide regular status updates, success reviews, and recommendations to customers and internal partners.
- Advocate for customer needs while balancing platform standards and governance.
Key Skills:
- 6+ years overall experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services at scale
- 2+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure design
- 2+ years of experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- 2+ years of experience with Harness or similar CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Strong expertise in AWS core services:
- Deep understanding of container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, application deployment, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment strategies
- Experience with monitoring and observability solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, able to mentor and guide team members and collaborate with application teams
- Experience with AWS cost optimization strategies and FinOps practices
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) or AWS DevOps Engineer certification

- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and Chaos Engineering
