AWS Cloud Engineer

Summary: The AWS Cloud Engineer role at AMS involves supporting Tesco Bank in the development, delivery, and optimization of data assets within a modern engineering environment. This position requires collaboration with application teams and focuses on maintaining and enhancing the data platform through Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment practices. The role is initially a 6-month remote contract with occasional travel to Edinburgh. Candidates will be expected to contribute to an agile mindset and improve outcomes across data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver value across all data platforms while working within a modern engineering workplace.
• Manage and maintain the Data Platform within the Smarter Decisioning Platform team.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Application as Code (AaC).
• Ensure the data platform is updated with monthly AMIs.
• Maintain and work against medium to long-term plans to improve automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to embedding an agile mindset and approach focused on improving outcomes.

Key Skills:

• Jenkins (and/or GitLab), Containerisation or Docker/Podman.
