Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare old equipment for re-dispositioning and e-waste handling.
  • Manage inventory counts and update the peripheral tool regularly.
  • Load balance equipment to different Intel and non-Intel sites.
  • Load/unload assets into lockers.
  • Update and close tasks in ServiceNow with all required fields correctly filled out or attached.
  • Process assets returned from clients leaving the company; clean and test used systems for redeployment.
  • Ensure all client inventory assets are stored and distributed in a clean and professional manner.
  • Perform inter-department deliveries using company van (site specific).
  • Diagnose and categorize the assets in non-available state in Service-Now.
  • Perform basic to moderate hardware repairs and software troubleshooting.
  • Engage external vendors for RMA replacement and out-of-scope maintenance.
  • Manage site inventory and spares with the use of a database.
  • Act as a point of contact for Level 2 technicians.

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years audio/visual experience.
  • Complete knowledge of live sound signal flow and troubleshooting integrated audio systems.
  • Understanding of AMX/Extron Control System Functionality.
  • Knowledge of Extron components and integrated AV signal paths.
  • Excellent customer service skills and written/verbal communication skills.

Our client is looking for an AVT Technician for a 9-month contract in Hillsboro, OR 97124.

Our client is a multibillion-dollar company that provides end-to-end managed services, technology, and consulting to enable the digital workplace for small to enterprise businesses. Join their team to be part of delivering individualized experiences to a diverse range of clients in a collaborative and productive workplace environment.

Contract Duration: 9 Months
Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years audio/visual experience.
  • Complete knowledge of live sound signal flow and must be able to troubleshoot integrated audio systems (Clearone), track and update wireless microphone frequencies, group and channel spreadsheet.
  • Understands AMX/Extron Control System Functionality (Master Controllers, RS-232, Touch Panels, GC3 Configuration, pull control code and touch panel files from AMX/Extron devices).
  • Understands Extron components and integrated AV signal paths (Scalers, Switchers, DAs, Extenders) for high-level troubleshooting.
  • May be required to travel between sites using a personal vehicle/company van.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. solo.
  • May be required to walk/sit/stand/crawl/kneel for extended periods.
    Excellent customer service skills and excellent written/verbal communication skills.

What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities
PC SERVICES

  • Preparing old equipment for re-dispositioning and e-waste handling.
  • Managing inventory counts and updating the peripheral tool regularly.
  • Load balancing equipment to different Intel and non-Intel sites.
  • Loading/unloading assets into lockers.
  • Updating and closing tasks in ServiceNow with all required fields correctly filled out or attached.
  • Closing tasks within their SLA (service level agreement) timeline, if not there is an
  • exception/explanation for the breach recorded in the task.
  • Processing assets returned from clients leaving the company; cleaning and testing used systems
  • for redeployment.
  • Ensuring all client inventory assets are stored and distributed in a clean and professional manner.
  • Sending emails to clients for asset collection.
  • Opportunities to train to move into a more technical role.
  • Performing inter department deliveries using company van (site specific).
  • Picking up surplus equipment from users.
  • Pulling new orders that come in on ServiceNow (ticketing system).
  • Scrapping e-waste.
  • Testing and cleaning laptops.
  • Taking out trash/metal bins.
  • Diagnose and categorize the assets in non-available state in Service-Now (no assets are to be in not available status for more than 10 days).
  • Basic to moderate Hardware repairs and must be comfortable with replacing PC components and PC peripherals.
  • Basic to moderate software troubleshooting and OS imaging required.
  • Adjustment/troubleshooting of Monitors and docking stations in Hybrid Cube offices.
  • Imaging of drives to a server location for Intel's legal department.
  • Must be comfortable with working with clients directly in person, via phone, email, and instant message.
  • Assisting with locating systems physically or by remote means of investigation during audits.
  • Cross train for other positions within the team to provide backfill coverage.
  • May be asked to join meetings with key stakeholders on special projects.

Technical - AVT

  • Quickly troubleshooting AV systems with minimal use of BKMs.
  • Engage external vendors for RMA replacement and out-of-scope maintenance.
  • Improvise and use creative troubleshooting to work around rooms that are hard down.
  • Building and maintaining IPL GC3 Files (removing and adding drivers).
  • Updating Extron and AMX firmware for preventative maintenance.
  • Requires an in-depth knowledge of the functionality of monitors, projectors, and video conferencing systems.
  • Managing and completing the Quarterly Preventive Maintenance project.
  • Creating/Resolving break/fix tickets by monitoring the client ticketing system.
  • Engaging customers' requests for meeting support.
  • Escalating large break/fix issues and workarounds to the VC Lead Technician.
  • Manage site inventory and spares with the use of a database.
  • Acting as a point of contact for Level 2 technicians.
  • Engaging VC Lead on site for large project deployments and floor renovations, and escalations.
