Summary: The AutoStore Technical Consultant will support the implementation, integration, and optimization of the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) in a contract role. The position requires strong experience with AutoStore systems and warehouse automation technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective deployment and performance tuning. The consultant will also provide technical input and training to staff while troubleshooting and optimizing system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, deployment, and integration of AutoStore systems into warehouse environments
- Configure and maintain AutoStore hardware and software components (including ports, grid, controllers, and robots)
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure system stability and scalability
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize performance
- Provide technical input on layouts, workflows, and warehouse automation strategies
- Work with 3rd-party vendors and system integrators to align project goals and timelines
- Document configurations, test results, and troubleshooting steps
- Train staff and support teams on system usage and best practices
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of experience working with AutoStore systems or other ASRS technologies
- Strong technical understanding of warehouse automation, robotics, and conveyor systems
- Hands-on experience with AutoStore software platforms (e.g., Controller software, Router, and user interfaces)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP integration
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel to site(s) as needed during critical phases (if not fully remote)
