Summary: In the role of Automation Tester, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of software products. This contract position is fully remote and spans 3 to 6 months. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement testing best practices while troubleshooting automation issues. The position requires strong experience with automation tools and methodologies within Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Execute automated test suites and analyse results to identify defects and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define appropriate test coverage.
- Implement testing best practices and contribute to improving QA processes.
- Troubleshoot automation issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure test environments and data are properly prepared for automated execution.
- Report on test progress, coverage, and overall product quality.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an Automation Tester or similar QA role.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of C# and Typescript.
- Mobile app testing experience.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Experience with API testing tools (eg, Postman, REST Assured, Supertest).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fully remote team.
