Summary: The Automation Tester role at iXceed Solutions involves designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks for API and backend testing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient test automation frameworks for API and backend testing
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Write custom code, create add-ons, and handle complex scenarios during the automation testing process
  • Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
  • Analyze and report on test results, identifying and documenting defects and areas for improvement
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the test automation domain

Key Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on backend and API testing
  • Proficient in JavaScript programming language
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, Pytest, Requests)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and other data formats
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases for test data management

  • Responsibilities
  • • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient test automation frameworks for API and backend testing
  • • Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • • Strong proficiency in Java or JavaScript languages. This is required to write custom code, create add-ons, and handle complex scenarios that may arise during the automation testing process.
  • • Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
  • • Analyze and report on test results, identifying and documenting defects and areas for improvement
  • • Experience with custom frameworks like Selenium with Java is desirable.
  • • Experience with any low code automation tool like TestSigma, Tricentis Testim, Katalon or similar is good to have.
  • • Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the test automation domain
  • Qualifications
  • • 7+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on backend and API testing
