Automation Tester

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Automation Tester in Armonk, NY.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester to support critical application testing initiatives across enterprise platforms. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role requiring strong technical depth in automation frameworks and close collaboration with development and QA teams. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Tester will design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using C# and Python
• Build and execute automated test scripts for UI and system-level testing
• Leverage MSTest and/or NUnit frameworks to ensure scalable, repeatable testing
• Utilize the Microsoft UI Automation / Accessibility Framework to validate UI behavior and compliance
• Partner closely with developers, QA leads, and product stakeholders to understand requirements and testing needs
• Identify defects early in the SDLC and clearly document test results, risks, and recommendations
• As an Automation Tester, you will contribute to continuous improvement of automation standards, tools, and best practices
• Support regression testing and ensure quality across releases

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience as a Test Automation Engineer in enterprise environments
• Proven experience using MSTest and/or NUnit testing frameworks
• Experience testing complex, business-critical applications
• Hands-on expertise with C# and Python for test automation development
• Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft UI Automation/UI Accessibility Framework
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating across teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting utilities, energy, or other regulated industries
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
