Automation Test Engineer with PCBA Experience

Summary: The Automation Test Engineer with PCBA Experience will be responsible for developing and implementing automated testing solutions for PCBA functional circuit tests. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in automated testing within PCBA environments. The position may involve domestic and international travel and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role is primarily remote but is based in Batesville, IN, USA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development of automated PCBA functional circuit tests and fixtures.
• Programming and optimizing test systems using NI Test Stand, LabVIEW, and C variants.
• Experience with National Instruments hardware and instrumentation.
• Software requirements gathering, implementation, validation, and code reviews.
• Troubleshooting and debugging test systems for production environments.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and quality.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PCBA Functional Circuit Test development.
• Proven experience with automated testing in PCBA environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Familiarity with medical device standards and regulatory compliance.
• Siemens DX Designer / Xpedition knowledge.
• Windows OS configuration and usage.
• Data analysis for test quality and system optimization.
• Technical leadership in ATE projects including planning and execution.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and specifications.
