Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, and functional testing.
• Create automated test suites using Playwright (Python or TypeScript).
• Build reusable and maintainable page objects and test components.
• Develop and execute API tests (REST/GraphQL) alongside UI automation.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement test data management, parallel execution, and test reliability strategies.
• Analyse test failures and provide root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to drive quality best practices.
• Maintain framework documentation and onboarding guides.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in web automation testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (Python or TypeScript).
• Proven ability to build automation frameworks from scratch.
• Solid programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as PyTest.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Xray Test Management for Jira.
• BDD tools such as Cucumber, Behave, or Gherkin.
• Docker and containerised test environments.
• Performance testing exposure.
• Cloud-based testing platforms and browser/device farms.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
