Summary: The Automation Test Engineer role is a remote position based in Cardiff, offered as an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. The engineer will focus on developing and maintaining automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications while supporting agile testing principles. The position requires a blend of manual and automated testing experience, along with mentoring junior testers in automation best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and manage automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Design, execute, and document test cases for both manual and automated testing.
• Conduct API testing using a mix of manual and automated approaches.
• Support the Test Manager in maintaining testing standards and processes.
• Mentor junior testers, particularly in automation best practices.
• Advocate for high-quality testing strategies within an agile development environment.

Key Skills:

• ISTQB/ISEB certification.
• C#/ .NET programming skills.
• NUnit / XUnit experience.
• Selenium WebDriver and Appium knowledge.
• Solid understanding of API testing, including both manual and automated approaches.
