Summary: The Automation Test Engineer role involves supporting the development of high-quality web and mobile applications through the implementation and maintenance of robust automation frameworks. The position requires a blend of manual and automated testing experience, along with a strong understanding of agile testing principles. This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension, and it is classified as outside IR35. The role is fully remote based in Cardiff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and manage automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Design, execute, and document test cases for both manual and automated testing.
• Conduct API testing using a mix of manual and automated approaches.
• Support the Test Manager in maintaining testing standards and processes.
• Mentor junior testers, particularly in automation best practices.
• Advocate for high-quality testing strategies within an agile development environment.

Key Skills:

• ISTQB/ISEB certification.
• C#/ .NET experience.
• NUnit / XUnit proficiency.
• Selenium WebDriver and Appium knowledge.
• Solid understanding of API testing, including both manual and automated approaches.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
