Summary: The Automation Engineer - SDET role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks while integrating automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks.
- Integrate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex quality assurance and test automation challenges.
- Experience with web service test automation using SoapUI.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including containerizing test frameworks and executing automated tests using Selenium Grid or similar UI testing tools.
- Strong experience in Performance & Load Testing using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or K6.
- Develop and execute performance test scripts, analyze throughput, latency, and error rates, and provide optimization recommendations.
- Experience with API Testing & Automation using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, OAuth2, JWT authentication, Swagger/OpenAPI, Pact, and API automation within CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating automated testing into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, Continuous Integration, and automated testing best practices.
- Experience testing batch processes, flat-file integrations, and web service-based interfaces.
- Strong understanding of automated regression testing strategies and related automation tools.
