Summary: The Automation Python Developer role involves joining a major financial services organization to contribute to a critical infrastructure modernization and automation program. The position requires expertise in Python and Jinja2, focusing on delivering automation solutions in a dynamic environment. The role is remote with occasional travel to London and is deemed inside IR35. The contract duration is for 6 months, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with migrating multi-tenanted network services onto a new platform.
- Drive improvements in the UAT process through automation.
- Build automation capabilities for infrastructure testing.
- Develop and enhance reusable infrastructure automation patterns to support a holistic automation strategy.
Key Skills:
- Expert-level Python coding experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Jinja2 templating.
- Proven skills in Ansible automation.
- Deep knowledge of JSON/XML APIs.
- Solid grasp of DevOps principles, including strong CI/CD pipeline delivery and configuration experience.
- Demonstrated ability to deploy and test infrastructure as code.
- Networking experience would be a distinct advantage.
