Summary: The AutoCAD Engineer role involves creating and developing 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks, focusing on piping systems and steel structures for industrial projects. The position requires collaboration with engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility, as well as support for coordination and clash detection across various disciplines. The engineer will also be responsible for producing as-built documentation and managing Bills of Materials (BOM) for complex data center and industrial infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
- Design and detail piping systems and steel structures for industrial projects
- Interpret and work from 3D models, technical plans, and engineering specifications
- Produce and maintain as-built documentation and technical files
- Generate and manage Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
- Support coordination and clash detection across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil)
- Contribute to complex data center and industrial infrastructure projects
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience in designing piping systems and steel structures
- Ability to interpret 3D models and engineering specifications
- Strong documentation skills for as-built documentation and technical files
- Experience in managing Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Collaboration skills for working with engineers and project teams
- Knowledge of coordination and clash detection processes
