Summary: The Authorization Representative role involves processing referral requests for patients to ensure timely and accurate determinations. The position requires working within the scope of practice to manage requests according to Utilization Management protocols and assisting providers and patients with referral status inquiries. This is a fully remote position based in Sacramento, California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process referral requests for patients.
- Complete or forward requests to Managed Care physicians and/or nurses as per UM protocols.
- Maintain required turnaround times for referral completion.
- Assist providers and patients with referral status questions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of improvements.
