Key Responsibilities:
- Listen to short audio clips and expertly classify audio artifacts such as noise, clipping, echo, misalignments, and compression-related issues.
- Produce precise annotations and detailed corrective feedback to support machine learning model improvement.
- Review and QA annotation work created by other contributors, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the team.
- Document edge cases with clear notes and illustrative examples, contributing to shared annotation guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with the training team to refine annotation procedures and drive inter-annotator agreement.
- Utilize and provide feedback on browser-based annotation tools and workflow optimizations.
- Maintain rigorous quality standards in every task, ensuring data integrity and effective communication at all times.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in audio annotation, descriptive captioning, transcription, podcast/audio editing, or audio QA.
- Strong background in audio restoration with advanced proficiency in tools such as iZotope RX, Cedar Studio, Adobe Audition, or similar.
- Deep familiarity with audio engineering terminology and common recording/production faults.
- Demonstrated ability to use browser-based annotation tools and follow structured workflows.
- Keen ear for subtle audio details and anomalies; prior experience as a reviewer or annotator is highly valued.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with particular care for clarity in notes and discussions.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
