Summary: The role of Atlassian Enterprise Migration SME focuses on leading complex migrations and consolidations of Jira and Bitbucket environments into a centralized Atlassian Enterprise platform. The position requires extensive experience in managing enterprise-level migrations, utilizing automation tools, and ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will also be responsible for designing governance standards and managing user provisioning through identity providers. Strong communication skills are essential for presenting technical strategies to executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical consolidation of 10–20 independent Jira environments into a centralized Atlassian Enterprise platform.
- Orchestrate Bitbucket repository migrations while ensuring continuity for integrated CI/CD pipelines and development teams.
- Utilize JCMA, REST APIs, and custom scripting to automate data transfers and remediate migration limitations.
- Design enterprise governance standards for Jira workflows, custom fields, security models, and administrative permissions.
- Configure Atlassian Access and identity providers to manage global user provisioning and secure authentication.
- Build API-driven integrations between the Atlassian stack and enterprise platforms like FreshService or Jira Service Management.
- Develop scalable operating models and technical documentation to ensure long-term platform maintainability and growth.
