Atlassian Cloud DevOps Engineer

Summary: The Atlassian Cloud DevOps Engineer role focuses on enhancing the Enterprise GitLab CI/CD ecosystem by integrating various Atlassian Cloud tools and driving automation for proactive monitoring and operational capabilities. The position requires hands-on experience with DevOps tools and scripting languages, as well as expertise in AIOps and observability. This is a remote position based in the USA, classified as outside IR35. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps and Atlassian Cloud administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and enhance the Enterprise GitLab CI/CD ecosystem, integrating GitLab, Atlassian Cloud (Jira, JSM, Confluence), and Atlassian Forge pipelines.
• Drive NextGen Ops and AIOps automation, enabling proactive monitoring, intelligent triage, and self-service operational capabilities across the enterprise.

Key Skills:

• DevOps Tools: GitLab CI/CD, Atlassian Forge, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Scripting: Python, Bash, Groovy, Node.js, Java.
• Atlassian Cloud: Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, REST APIs, and A4J Automation.
• Observability: Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Microsoft Sentinel.
• AIOps / NextGen Ops: Self-healing pipelines, predictive monitoring, AI-based ticket response, ChatOps.
• Governance & Compliance: SOX controls, access reviews, and change audit readiness.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps and Atlassian Cloud administration, with strong CI/CD automation expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Forge, A4J, and AI-powered operational automation.
• Proven track record in observability, governance compliance, and AIOps integration.
