Associate Product Manager Outlook, Emails, O365, Exchange rollout up to £310 per day inside IR35 Remote with very occasional travel to Manchester or Leeds for events

We are looking for an Product Manager to take ownership of a critical enterprise email service and support the ongoing rollout of New Outlook across a large, complex organisation.

This is a live, business-critical service used by colleagues across the organisation.

You will be responsible for ensuring it remains secure, reliable and aligned with user needs while managing the risks, dependencies and priorities associated with the transition to New Outlook.

This is not a generalist digital product role.

We need someone with strong experience managing enterprise email, messaging or Microsoft 365 services previously.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and manage the enterprise email service as a critical live product.
  • Support the organisation-wide rollout of New Outlook.
  • Develop and prioritise the product roadmap and backlog.
  • Understand the needs of different user groups and translate them into clear product priorities.
  • Work closely with Microsoft 365 engineers, architects, cyber security, service management and support teams.
  • Manage risks relating to email security, data protection, compliance and service continuity.
  • Oversee pilots, phased rollouts, user readiness and adoption.
  • Identify potential compatibility issues involving add-ins, shared mailboxes, delegated access and established Outlook workflows.
  • Monitor service performance, incidents, support demand and user feedback.
  • Balance user experience with technical, security and organisational requirements.
  • Communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders.

Essential experience

  • Significant experience managing an enterprise email, messaging or Microsoft 365 service.
  • Previous ownership of a critical live service within a large or complex organisation.
  • Experience delivering an Outlook, New Outlook, Exchange Online or Microsoft 365 migration or rollout.
  • Strong understanding of email hygiene, including spam, phishing, spoofing, malware, quarantine and mail-flow controls.
  • Knowledge of data loss prevention and information protection within Microsoft 365.
  • Experience identifying user needs and using these to shape priorities and delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management across technical, security and operational teams.
  • Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, risks, dependencies and measurable outcomes.
  • The technical understanding required to work effectively with engineers and architects, without necessarily being a hands-on Microsoft 365 engineer.
