Summary: The Assistant Commercial Accountant role is a permanent position based in Uxbridge, requiring remote work with occasional travel between offices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Closely support Head of Finance and front line operational functions with all financial matters.
  • Assist Head of Finance in Month End process & review monthly schools Gross profit and EBITDA.
  • Prepare fee breakdowns and review fees to ensure that pricing is appropriate.
  • Maintain occupancy reports.
  • Support the bottom up budget process.
  • Assist in improving processes regarding communication and recognition of Pupil Premium/Grants/ESFA.
  • Develop new financial reports and update existing ones with pivot tables, power queries and lookups.
  • Work with Accounting Service Centre & Operations to ensure that Accounts Payable invoices are approved in a timely manner & that Accounts Receivable debts are promptly paid.
  • Perform any other duties requested from time to time, as might reasonably be required, commensurate with the role.
  • Occasional travel to site(s) to meet with team and front line operations – (travel costs reimbursed).

Key Skills:

  • Experience in commercial finance or accounting.

Location Uxbridge Contract Full Time Role Type Permanent, Contract Working hours per week 40 Salary Up to £35,000 per annum Job title: Assistant Commercial Accountant Location: Remote Working, Travel will be required between offices and to services across the Division Contract: Permanent Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum Hours of work: 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the commercial finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance for Education, support in the delivery of financial targets for the organisation. The role will provide a key support to the existing commercial finance team and allow the successful applicant to gain more hands-on experience interacting with front line operations of a large multi-site company.
