Summary: The Asp.Net MVC Developer will be responsible for advanced automated systems development within the IT Scheduled Releases team, engaging in all phases of the system development life cycle. Key duties include troubleshooting software and system issues, developing and testing web applications, and ensuring adherence to documentation standards. The role requires collaboration with internal and external clients to meet design specifications and operational goals. This position is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced automated systems development work as a member of the IT Scheduled Releases team.
  • Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing, diagnosing and resolving software, data, hardware and reporting problems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues for internal and external clients.
  • Develop and test web applications that meet design specifications, including accessibility and usability requirements.
  • Document current processes, review written specification additions/modifications and create test cases for submitted defects.
  • Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs.
  • Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.

Key Skills:

  • Experience developing .NET web applications using Asp.Net MVC, C# and LINQ.
  • Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language).
  • Experience using Version Control.
  • Recent experience with Razor View Engine and/or Entity Framework.
  • Experience with web development.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap.
  • Experience using Microfocus ALM Octane (Application Lifecycle Management).
  • Experience with building Accessible web applications.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, practices and techniques of application programming and software design.
