Summary: The role of Application Support Officer for NEC Housing involves providing expert technical and functional support for the NEC Housing platform, primarily in a remote capacity. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and experience in system optimization to enhance essential housing services. The successful candidate will work closely with housing service teams and utilize SQL for data management and reporting. This is a three-month contract position classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing specialist support for NEC Housing, including troubleshooting, configuration, and day-to-day system administration.
- Working closely with the Housing service teams to understand operational requirements and ensure systems are meeting business needs.
- Supporting key modules, ideally within Allocations or Repairs, offering expert guidance and technical insight.
- Using SQL to extract, analyse, and validate data, supporting reporting, audits, and resolving complex system issues.
- Assisting with system upgrades, patch deployments, and testing activities.
- Producing clear documentation, knowledgebase articles, and user guidance.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Extensive NEC Housing experience (essential).
- Strong working knowledge of Allocations or Repairs modules (highly desirable).
- Competent SQL skills, able to write queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Previous experience within an application support environment, ideally within housing or local government.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
