Summary: The Application Security Vulnerability Engineer is responsible for managing vulnerabilities within applications and ensuring robust security measures are in place. This role requires extensive experience in vulnerability management and application security, along with hands-on expertise in relevant tools and cloud environments. The engineer will collaborate with software development teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities effectively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage vulnerabilities in applications and ensure security measures are implemented.
  • Utilize Tenable.io / Tenable SaaS for vulnerability management.
  • Understand and apply CVE, CVSS, vulnerability prioritization, and remediation processes.
  • Work with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Implement container security concepts within Kubernetes and Docker environments.
  • Familiarize with OWASP Top 10 and common application security vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with software development teams for vulnerability remediation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding security issues.

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in Vulnerability Management, Application Security, Security Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with Tenable.io / Tenable SaaS.
  • Strong understanding of CVE, CVSS, vulnerability prioritization, and remediation processes.
  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
