Summary: The Appian Developer role involves designing and developing scalable BPM applications using the Appian platform, translating business requirements into specifications, and collaborating with various teams to ensure solution quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable BPM applications using the Appian platform (Appian 21.x or newer preferred).
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Develop process models, interface forms, rules, and integrations using Appian low-code environment.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to ensure solution quality.
- Build Appian plug-ins, smart services, and integrations with external systems using APIs / Web Services (REST/SOAP).
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Maintain technical documentation and deployment artifacts.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and performance standards.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing on the Appian BPM platform.
- Strong understanding of Appian components: SAIL, process models, records, reports, interfaces, data stores, and CDTs.
- Proficient in Appian Designer and Appian best practices.
