APIGEE Developer

Summary: The role of Apigee Developer involves designing and developing scalable and secure API proxies using Apigee Edge / Apigee X in a remote contract position. The developer will implement various API policies, create custom policies, and manage API lifecycle processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain API standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, secure API proxies using Apigee Edge / Apigee X.
• Implement API policies for traffic management, security (OAuth, JWT, API Key), transformation (XML/JSON), and mediation.
• Develop custom policies using JavaScript, Java, or Python when needed.
• Design and implement API lifecycle processes including versioning, analytics, caching, and rate-limiting.
• Integrate APIs with backend systems (SOAP/REST services, databases, etc.).
• Create developer portals and manage API documentation.
• Ensure API performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting using Apigee Analytics.

Key Skills:

• Experience with Apigee Edge / Apigee X.
