Summary: The role of Senior Android Mobile Developer involves leading a mobile modernization initiative by designing and developing a native Android application while mentoring other developers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and modernize a native Android mobile application
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technical solutions
  • Support modernization efforts from legacy Java-based Android applications to Kotlin
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations with internal systems
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy
  • Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers
  • Promote best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement within the development team
  • Evaluate and test new tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve delivery and application performance
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and take ownership of business outcomes

Description

We're partnering with a growing technology team that is kicking off a major mobile modernization initiative in June and is looking to add a Senior Android Mobile Developer to the project team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building modern mobile applications, mentoring other developers, and helping shape technical direction within a collaborative engineering environment. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to modernize a native Android application while contributing across backend services, frontend mobile interfaces, and integrations with internal systems.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and modernize a native Android mobile application
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technical solutions
