Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android experiences supporting Trust & Safety initiatives
- Own features end-to-end, from early problem definition through implementation, release, and iteration
- Translate ambiguous or sensitive requirements into clear, reliable technical solutions
- Collaborate closely with backend, product, design, data, and Trust & Safety teams
- Proactively identify risks, edge cases, and abuse vectors in safety-critical user flows
- Raise standards for code quality, testing, performance, and accessibility across the Android codebase
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and best-practice sharing
Key Skills:
- Strong experience building and shipping production Android applications, primarily using Kotlin
- Familiarity with Java is beneficial but not essential
- Senior-level ownership mindset with a focus on execution and measurable impact
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, high-stakes environments
- Thoughtful approach to user-facing systems with privacy, safety, and inclusivity in mind
- Clear communicator and collaborative teammate
- Familiarity with Golang and/or Google Cloud Platform is a bonus
- Experience collaborating closely with backend teams on API design and contract evolution
