Summary: The Analytics Solution Engineer role focuses on maintaining and improving critical data platforms, specifically Azure Databricks and Palantir Foundry, within the App Reporting team. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the Azure Databricks and Palantir Foundry platforms to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability
- Act as a Site Reliability Engineer for the data platforms, ensuring systems run as intended and meet availability expectations
- Handle incidents, outages, alerts, and operational issues, including root cause analysis and preventative improvements
- Implement and maintain health checks, monitoring, and alerting
- Design, implement, and maintain Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
- Own and improve release processes, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
- Manage platform artefacts including clusters, secrets, releases, and configurations
- Perform GitHub peer reviews and uphold software ownership and quality standards
- Provide platform and DevOps support to Data Engineers building pipelines
- Enable and support data pipelines within Palantir Foundry and Azure Databricks
- Assist with performance optimisation, pipeline reliability, and operational readiness
- Build and maintain analytics infrastructure to support reporting and redline initiatives
- Improve operational processes across the data platform estate
- Support audit requirements through data analysis, operating data restores, and immutable backups
- Manage networking, access control, and secrets management
- Support and maintain Power BI Gateways, Event Hub throughput units, serverless compute clusters, and reserved VM capacity
- Ensure infrastructure meets security, governance, and compliance standards

Role Overview
