Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in a Lakehouse programme, sitting at the intersection of analytics, engineering and the business.
  • Design and own analytics data models, transforming data from enriched layers into curated, analytics ready datasets.
  • Develop and maintain robust SQL and PySpark transformations within Databricks.
  • Work closely with data engineers, BI teams and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into trusted reporting.

  • Strong commercial experience as an analytics focused engineer, rather than an analyst.
  • Advanced data modelling capability, including dimensional modelling.
  • Strong PySpark and SQL skills in production environments.
  • Hands on experience with Databricks, including pipelines and governed data environments.

Analytics Engineer (12 month FTC) Up to £67,000 Remote (UK Based) This is an opportunity to join a growing analytics engineering function at a pivotal point in its data transformation.

THE COMPANY They are a large, established law firm operating nationally, with thousands of colleagues across multiple UK offices. Data and analytics play an increasingly strategic role, supporting both operational and client facing teams. THE ROLE As an Analytics Engineer you will own the design and delivery of analytics-ready data within a modern Lakehouse environment, shaping how data is modelled, curated and consumed across the organisation. Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
