Summary: The AI Systems Engineer / AI Automation Developer role involves working with a leading technology company in AI and autonomous systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and supporting production-grade backend systems
  • Developing modular architectures across data, logic and reporting layers
  • Supporting complex multi-stage AI workflows and orchestration tasks
  • Integrating live tools, APIs and external platforms into autonomous systems
  • Analysing and improving system behaviours, outputs and performance
  • Identifying failures, inefficiencies and optimisation opportunities across AI agents

Key Skills:

  • 2+ years’ experience within backend engineering, AI automation or systems integration
  • Strong experience with at least two programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go or Java
  • Experience working with SQL databases and live production environments
  • Strong understanding of complex workflows, multi-turn interactions and system coordination
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Additional experience in AI orchestration or agent-based systems, API integrations, persistent memory/state management, and security awareness

I’m currently working with an innovative technology business operating at the forefront of AI and autonomous systems development. They are looking to hire technically strong engineers with experience across backend development, AI automation and complex systems integration to support projects focused on training and improving next-generation AI agents and large language models. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI workflows and contribute to the development of advanced multi-step autonomous systems operating within real-world environments.

What you’ll be working on:
