Summary: The AI Solutions Project Manager will lead the planning and implementation of AI and machine learning projects for a top global company on a 12-month remote contract. This role is crucial for developing user-centric AI solutions, requiring collaboration with stakeholders to define project goals and deliverables. The ideal candidate will possess a discovery mindset and a proven track record in delivering valuable solutions in the AI domain. The position is classified as inside IR35, necessitating setup via an Umbrella Company or PAYE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of AI and machine learning projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables through collaboration with stakeholders and third parties.
  • Develop detailed project plans aligned to the Abbvie System Lifecycle (SLC) to monitor and track progress.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution ensuring resource availability and allocation.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Manage the risk profile of the project and escalate to management as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in successfully applying methodologies including Design Thinking, Six Sigma & Human-Centered Design.
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering, documentation, and project management tools.
  • Experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals highly advantageous.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • A working understanding of Artificial Intelligence capabilities, such as familiarity with large language models, machine learning algorithms and the principles of data-driven decision making is highly advantageous.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to challenge constructively.
  • Ability to independently frame business questions, formulate a methodology and manage against project timelines and deliverables.
  • High attention to detail with impeccable knowledge management and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to move easily between strategic to operational and tactical thinking across different stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in multifunctional teams and very senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence, partner, challenge thinking and gain credibility with internal stakeholders.
  • Customer and market place focused and driven by the importance of business results.
  • Ability to build strong cross functional, collaborative working relationships.
  • Ability to think creatively and having the experience and competency to initiate new projects from a blank sheet of paper to cross divisional implementation.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects within a complex and changing environment.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver complex data and analysis, and portraying data stories to a non-technical, but highly business focussed audience, including but not limited to senior stakeholders and key decision makers.
