AI engineer/AI trainer (Outside IR35/Remote)

I'm currently working with an organisation looking for a hands-on AI Engineer who can build production-grade AI solutions and deliver technical training to experienced engineering audiences.

This is a unique opportunity to combine AI development, solution architecture, mentoring and technical education in a highly visible role.

Required Skills

• 8+ years in Software Engineering, Data, ML or AI
• Proven experience building and deploying GenAI applications
• Strong knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases and retrieval systems
• Experience with AI agents, tool calling and workflow orchestration
• AI evaluation, observability, guardrails and LLMOps expertise
• Advanced Python development skills
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic or similar LLM platforms
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Previous training, coaching, mentoring, or technical workshop delivery experience

Location: Mostly remote with occasional travel to London

Duration: 6 months (Possibility for extension)

Daily rate - TBC (outside IR35)
