We're supporting a growing Microsoft-focused consultancy that has secured several new Azure AI projects and is looking to engage an experienced AI Consultant on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a hands-on consulting role where you'll work directly with clients, taking ownership of end-to-end AI solution delivery across multiple engagements. The successful contractor will be comfortable operating independently and acting as the lead consultant on Azure AI projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy end-to-end AI solutions on Azure.
- Develop and integrate AI-powered applications and services.
- Build scalable APIs and integration layers.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment processes.
- Monitor and optimise production AI solutions, including model performance and drift management.
- Apply modern AI evaluation techniques, including approaches such as LLM-as-a-Judge.
- Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Deliver high-quality consulting services across multiple client engagements.
Essential Experience
- Strong commercial AI Engineering experience delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Expertise with Azure AI/Azure AI Foundry.
- Strong Python development background.
- API development and integration experience.
- CI/CD, DevOps and automated testing experience.
- Experience supporting live AI solutions in production environments.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience working autonomously on consulting engagements.
- Must have recent experience working exclusively within Microsoft Partner consultancies.
- Previous Microsoft consulting or partner environment experience is essential.

- Day Rate: £500 per day
- Contract Length: 6 months
- IR35 Status: Outside IR35
