Summary: The Agile Program Coach will lead and mentor teams through an Agile transformation within a financial services organization, focusing on practical implementation of Agile methodologies. This hands-on role requires the coach to facilitate team collaboration, remove obstacles, and drive continuous improvement to enhance customer-centric outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial services background and practical Agile experience. This position is crucial for fostering an Agile culture and aligning initiatives with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the transformation by coaching and mentoring teams, stakeholders, and leadership in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.), with a focus on financial services-related challenges and requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, operations, business, and leadership) to ensure smooth Agile adoption, and facilitate ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Provide hands-on coaching to teams, ensuring they understand Agile principles and can apply them in practical ways to improve collaboration, transparency, and delivery within the financial services context.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving regular feedback loops, facilitating retrospectives, and providing actionable insights to enhance team performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to drive Agile initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and fostering an Agile mindset across the organization.
- Proactively identify and address blockers and bottlenecks, providing practical solutions to ensure teams remain focused and deliver results effectively and on time.
- Track and report on Agile performance metrics, providing regular updates to leadership on team progress, roadblocks, and areas for improvement.
- Support the organizational change process, helping teams and leadership navigate challenges and embrace Agile methodologies in their daily work routines.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in Agile environments, with at least 3 years in a coaching or leadership role.
- Strong practical experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, helping them navigate change and improve their processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain Agile concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of removing barriers and improving team performance.
- A hands-on approach focused on delivering results and engaging directly with teams.
- Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or similar are preferred.
