Summary: The role of Agentic AI Engineer involves designing and building intelligent, autonomous systems for a fast-growing AI product consultancy. The position requires shipping software and implementing robust RAG pipelines and agentic workflows for various clients. This is a remote contract position with a focus on production-grade AI software development. The contract is for three months with the potential for a full-time transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and building agentic AI systems for client-facing AI products
- Creating RAG pipelines (retrieval, indexing, embeddings, orchestration) tailored to different use cases
- Developing agentic workflows (multi-agent, tool-using, decision-making systems)
- Writing clean, production-ready Python code
- Integrating LLMs with external data sources, APIs, vector databases, and tools
- Working closely with product and engineering teams to turn AI concepts into deployable software
- Improving reliability, observability, and performance of AI systems in production
Key Skills:
- Strong Python experience (production-level, not notebooks only)
- Hands-on experience building Agentic AI systems
- Solid understanding of agentic workflows (planning, tool use, memory, orchestration)
- Proven experience building RAG pipelines end-to-end
- Experience with LLM frameworks
- Experience working with vector databases
- Comfortable designing AI systems for real clients and real users

Agentic AI Engineer | Remote | OIR35 | Contract
We're working with a fast-growing AI product consultancy building production-grade AI software for clients across multiple industries. They're looking for an Agentic AI Engineer to design and build intelligent, autonomous systems that power real-world AI products.
You'll be shipping software, helping clients design and implement robust RAG pipelines and agentic workflows that scale.
Contract: 3 month contract > FTE transition
Location: Remote (UK/EU)
Rate: £300-375 | €350-430 p/day
Start Date: ASAP
What You'll Be Doing:
- Designing and building agentic AI systems for client-facing AI products
