Summary: The AEP Technical Product Owner (TPO) is a delivery leader responsible for managing the product backlog for the Business–AXP scrum pod, ensuring alignment between business strategy and agile delivery. This role involves translating stakeholder requirements into actionable tasks for a cross-functional team, facilitating scrum ceremonies, and maintaining a deep understanding of relevant technologies. The TPO collaborates with various stakeholders to prioritize work and validate technical solutions in support of the Business–AXP integration program. The position requires strong communication skills and experience in MarTech and agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product backlog for an AXP scrum pod (RT-CDP, AJO, or Integration pod), including story writing, acceptance criteria definition, prioritization, and sprint planning
- Act as the primary liaison between Business stakeholders, marketing teams, Business Platform owners, IT, and the delivery pod — translating requirements into well-defined user stories and technical tasks
- Facilitate scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Maintain a deep enough understanding of AEP, AJO, CJA, and the Business–AXP integration architecture to validate technical solutions, challenge assumptions, and make informed prioritization decisions
- Partner with the AXP Architect to align backlog priorities with the broader technical architecture, Unified Activation Layer design, and Business integration dependencies
- Review and accept deliverables from Engineers and Journey Developers, ensuring outputs meet both technical standards and Business intent
- Manage dependencies across the Business-AXP Integration Team, Business-AXP Team, and downstream channel teams
- Communicate sprint progress, velocity, delivery health, and risk to stakeholders through regular status reporting
- Support PI Planning and ART-level coordination within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Typical Experience
- 6–10 years in MarTech, digital, or data delivery roles, with at least 3 years in a product owner or delivery lead capacity
- Hands-on experience with one or more AEP or AJO implementations (as engineer, BA, or TPO)
- Proven track record of independently running scrum pods in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into Business language and vice versa
