Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload including high-level, complex mental capacity litigation.
  • Handle welfare-based decision-making and residence matters.
  • Provide advice on mental capacity in relation to finance.
  • Address contentious deputyship matters.
  • Work on displacement, applications for nearest relative, ordinary residence, and advising on care act matters.
  • Provide judicial review advice in relation to S21A and S16.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified lawyer (Solicitor, barrister, or FCILEX qualified).
  • Recent experience in adult social care law.
  • Strong understanding of mental capacity legislation.
  • Ability to manage complex legal cases.
