An ADP Workforce Consultant (often a WorkForce Software Implementation or Technical Consultant) leads the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of human capital management (HCM) and workforce management systems. It is a highly client-facing role that blends functional consulting, project management, and hands-on system configuration.
Key Responsibilities
- Consulting & Requirements Gathering: Facilitate client workshops to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable system solutions (such as pay policies, absence management, and scheduling rules).
- System Configuration: Set up the application database, customize templates, and build complex formulas or rules to support HR and Payroll workflows.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, and client status reporting for successful rollouts.
- Testing & Integration: Execute system testing, ensure seamless integration with HRIS and payroll systems, and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Post-Go-Live Support: Provide training, change management, and ongoing troubleshooting to ensure client adoption.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Typically 3 to 8 years of experience in WFM software implementations (like ADP WorkForce Software, UKG, or SAP SuccessFactors).
- Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript and SQL.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional client-facing, communication, and problem-solving capabilities, with strong project management skills.
- Availability: Often requires willingness to work flexibly to align with international client time zones (e.g., US or UK shifts).
