Summary: The Adobe AEM Cloud Developer role requires an experienced professional with over 8 years of expertise in Adobe AEM and related technologies. The position involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Adobe AEM as a Cloud Service, while ensuring best practices in cloud deployments and application performance. Collaboration with UX/UI designers and DevOps teams is essential, along with mentoring junior developers. The role is primarily remote but may also be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement solutions using Adobe AEM as a Cloud Service
- Build and customize AEM components, templates, workflows, dialogs, and bundles
- Develop and maintain OSGi services, Sling Models, and servlets
- Implement and support Cloud Manager pipelines, CI/CD processes, and cloud deployments
- Ensure adherence to AEM Cloud best practices, including immutable deployments and content architecture
- Integrate AEM with third-party systems via RESTful APIs and Adobe services
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, business stakeholders, and DevOps teams
- Optimize performance, security, and scalability of AEM applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in cloud environments
- Mentor junior developers and review code for quality and standards compliance
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of experience with Adobe AEM (6.x and AEM Cloud Service)
- Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, OSGi, Sling, JCR
- Proficient in HTL (Sightly), JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Hands-on experience with AEM Cloud Service architecture, Cloud Manager, Git-based CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and Assets
- Familiarity with headless AEM and SPA editor (React / Angular preferred)
- Strong understanding of AEM security, permissions, and dispatcher/CDN concepts
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Adobe Certified Expert / Professional - AEM Cloud Service (Highly Preferred)
- Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Analytics, Target, or other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions
