Summary: The Actuarial Calculations Analyst - DB (Defined Benefits) role is a contract position focused on providing actuarial support for defined benefit schemes. The analyst will be responsible for manual calculations, member options calculations, and the development of automated tools to enhance efficiency. This position is remote and has been classified as inside IR35. The initial contract duration is set for 6 months, with potential for extension.

- Provide calculation support for standard and non-standard member option calculations.
- Analyse new scheme benefit data and enable automated tools to maximize outputs.

- FIA qualification.

- FIA qualification
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of technical actuarial concepts, specifically principles underlying bulk annuity pricing
- Awareness of DB buy in/buy out market, life insurance/relevant regulation.
- Experience of pensions or investment consultancy, life insurer or reinsurer.
