Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate AI-generated outputs in pricing, reserving, underwriting, and risk modeling
  • Evaluate actuarial projections (mortality, morbidity, loss development) for accuracy and regulatory alignment
  • Provide structured feedback on assumptions, clarity, and methodology consistency
  • Stress-test AI outputs across claims scenarios, reserve adequacy, and solvency models
  • Tag and organize content by insurance domain (life, health, property & casualty, reinsurance)
  • Support benchmarking to assess AI capabilities in actuarial science and insurance operations

Key Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in actuarial practice, insurance analytics, underwriting, or risk modeling
  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, or related field; ASA, ACAS, or equivalent preferred
  • Familiarity with actuarial software/tools (Prophet, AXIS, R, Python) and insurance-specific methodologies
  • Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills

Mercor is hiring experienced Insurance professionals to support high-impact projects with leading AI labs and research organizations. We welcome actuaries, underwriters, claims analysts, risk modelers, and general insurance professionals. This role involves contributing to the evaluation and refinement of advanced AI systems designed to replicate real-world workflows across insurance models, policy pricing, risk assessment, and claims operations.
