Summary: Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a limited-term Accounts Payable Administrator for a 90-day position, starting in June 2025, to support their corporate office remotely from the UK. The role involves processing accounts payable tasks under the direction of the Accounts Payable Manager. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process electronic procurement vouchers and code all A/P vouchers in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Schedule vendor payments and change payment approval status as required.
  • Generate and distribute system checks to employees, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare line item changes and re-classes as needed.
  • Request voiding of checks, vouchers, and stop payments from A/P Managers.
  • Make adjustments to all related general ledger accounts.
  • Request new vendor set-ups in the Supplier Portal.
  • Provide copies of all project-related, billable invoices to branch Project Administrators upon request.
  • Reconcile vendor statements to unpaid balances as needed.
  • Provide backup support to other A/P Administrators, including data entry of vouchers and checks.
  • Perform related work as required.

Key Skills:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with at least two years of related bookkeeping and accounts payable experience.
  • Project costing experience supplemented by coursework in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and memos.
  • Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
